Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of our website and the provision of inspection services by Certifyd Building Inspections (Registered Building Practitioner DB-U 101478). By booking a service or using our website, you agree to these Terms.

Our Services
We provide building and pest inspections, pre-purchase and pre-auction inspections, warranty inspections, owner builder defect reports (Section 137B), and dilapidation reports. All inspections are visual assessments conducted in accordance with AS 4349.1 and AS 4349.3 where applicable.
Bookings and Payment
A booking is confirmed once you accept our written quote and we confirm the date in writing. Payment is due prior to or on the day of inspection. Reports will not be released until payment is received in full. All prices are in AUD and inclusive of GST.
Cancellations
- More than 24 hours’ notice — no fee applies
- Less than 24 hours’ notice — a fee of up to 50% of the inspection fee may apply
- No access on inspection day — full fee may be charged
Scope and Limitations
Our inspections cover safely accessible areas only. They do not include invasive testing, concealed areas, or assessment of electrical, plumbing, or gas systems beyond visual observation. The report reflects conditions at the time of inspection only.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the cost of re-performing the inspection or a refund of the fee paid. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. We hold professional indemnity and public liability insurance.

Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any updates.
